Fintry — Personal Finance Manager via Chat
Record income, expenses, transfers, and investments by simply typing a message — Fintry turns it into a real-time view of your total net worth.
My Role
- 01Designed and built a chat-based personal finance app where users record income, expenses, transfers, and investments by typing short messages in Indonesian.
- 02Built a split-view interface: a terminal-style chat for data entry on one side, and a master dashboard showing net worth, monthly cash flow, and account balances on the other.
- 03Implemented a deterministic financial calculation engine, so balances and totals come from exact calculation instead of generated text.
- 04Added user registration and login, per-user data isolation, and an append-only audit trail for transaction history.
- 05Defined the product brand, tone of voice, and a dark, data-dense 'command center' visual identity.

- 01Chat-based data entry: type short messages like 'gaji 5jt masuk ke bca' instead of filling long forms with dropdowns.
- 02Master dashboard showing net worth, monthly income and expenses, net cash flow, and balances across bank accounts, e-wallets, and investments.
- 03Split-view layout: a terminal-style chat on the left and live-updating charts and metrics on the right.
- 04Deterministic calculation engine, so every balance comes from exact calculation.
- 05Custom categories of any kind, grouped automatically, plus an append-only transaction history.
Impact
- Removes the friction of traditional finance apps by replacing forms with a single chat line.
- Gives a single 'helicopter view' of money spread across banks, e-wallets, and investments.
- Shows end-to-end product thinking: brand, UX, and a working deployed app.
